Assembly Bill 876 – Clarifying Anesthesia Authority for Nurse Anesthetists:
Clarifies the anesthesia services that Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are authorized to perform when ordered by a physician, podiatrist, or dentist. The bill specifies that a physician’s orders in a patient’s medical record allows the CRNA to select, adjust, or discontinue the type of anesthesia during care.
